HOPING!!

I wrote you a love letter,
Kindly asked you to reply,
Such simple words of friendliness,
They seem to pass you by.

Later did I discover,
None of the rumours were true,
My heart did sink and tears did fall,
But what else could I do.

Was it all a waste of time,
Or was it worth my while,
Because every time I look at you,
We both blush and then we smile.

Maybe you do but maybe you don't,
With that we'll have to see,
I do still really like you,
So in the end I'm hoping you'll choose me.
