I Will Remember

Will you walk with me when my sun sinks low?
While you tell me who I am?
Will you hold my hand in the shadow,
while you tell me where I live?
Will you stroke my brow when I am scared,
while you tell me "we all forget sometimes?"
Will you guide my feet around stones,
while you listen to my confused chatter?
And when the darkness closes around me,
