HERE BEGINNETH THE FIRST LESSON:GYNOSIS 1
In the beginning was God and all things were contained within Her. It
was She who created the Heavens and the Earth and everything therein
for only a female has the unlimited power to create and nurture.
All life issued forth from God and was taken back into HerSelf to be
renewed and to issue forth again. And in those days these things were
written on the hearts of all her creatures and there was no fear.
And at that time also everything that existed was in Her image: Earth
and woman and all living creatures; all were female. And peace and
harmony prevailed in the cosmos. There was no strife or discord.
Neither were there wars or sickness or hunger. And God walked upon the
face of the Earth and was well pleased.
Now it came to pass that God saw how the women of the Earth and their
daughters laughed and played together, and how they loved each other.
And She grew lonely. For although She was everything and everything was
Her, still she was but One.
And God said: I will divide Myself unto Myself. And out of My own Self
will I create a beloved daughter and I shall no longer be alone.
But the Serpent spake thus unto God: if so you create a daughter in
Your image, her thoughts will be Your thoughts, and her heart will be
Your heart, and when she speaks her voice will be Your voice. And you
will still be alone.
And God saw that what the Serpent spake was good. And She pondered on
these things in Her heart.
God said: So that we shall not speak with one voice, I shall not create
a daughter in my exact image. But I will turn away my face and allow
the Serpent to introduce a random element into this act of creation
that we may be different.
And it was so. And the Serpent smiled.
And this was the first divine error.
For a million years God gestated Her daughter in the Paradise Womb of
Her Divine Self. When Her time came She brought Her daughter forth onto
the grass and flowers underneath The Tree.
And when God saw how the Serpent had wrought changes upon the body of
Her daughter She was sore displeased. For where there should have been
smoothness there was a budding serpent. And where there should have
been soft curves there were straight lines of a kind previously unknown
in nature. Neither could this daughter bring forth young.
Fearing God's wrath, the Serpent quickly hid among the leaves of The
Tree.
But God was filled with compassion for the ugly squalling thing which
was still part of Her, as everything was. And God wept and held it to
Her breast.
And God said: because my daughter is sore afflicted and less than other
females, she shall be called male and henceforth referred to as he.
Then God looked at the strange little appendage on Her male daughter's
body and laughed. And the Serpent slithered back out of The Tree to
share this cosmic joke.
And this was the second divine error.
For, hearing the laughter, he-who-had-no-name howled even louder.
Alone, ridiculed, and horribly flawed, his heart's sole desire was to
be back in the Paradise of God's Womb.
And in his frustration, he-who-had-no-name swore a mighty oath by the
moon and stars and all the planets that if God wouldn't let him back
into Paradise then he would hold all Creation to ransom.
All of this God knew but She found it in Her heart to forgive him, for
he was Herr daughter, though deformed, and She loved him. Likewise, She
also forgave the Serpent in spite of the terrible changes which were
beginning tooccur on the face of the Earth with the advent of this
incomplete female. For as above, so below.
And God said: I can not destroy my offspring. If I teach him Wisdom
then at least in time harmony will be re-established. And She taught
he-who-had-no-name the art of creation and tried to praise the things
he brought forth, even when, like him, they were flawed. Stinging
nettles he created and hemlock, hornets, mosquitoes, and poison ivy,
and despair. And for each of these She created antidotes.
And it came to pass that he-who-had-no-name reached puberty and all
Hell came into being. For where God only ever destroyed in order to
recreate, he began to gratuitously destroy with no thought for the
Great Cycle.
And God said unto he-who-had-no-name: be careful, my almost daughter,
for I am everything and everything is in me. If you damage the most
minute part of my creation you also damage both yourself and Me. But
he-who-had-no-name answered Her saying: I am no longer your child. I am
your equal. And if you don't leave me alone I will make you suffer by
nailing myself to The Tree.
And even now God was filled with compassion for his confusion and
inexperience. She turned Her face away from his misdeeds, saying: Still
I can not destroy him. I will give him a little longer. Surely in time
he will learn wisdom and become a mature Woman.
And this was the third divine error.
But all God's creatures began to rise up and call on Her. And She
walked again upon the face of the Earth and found Her creatures dead
and dying; and saw women oppressed and enslaved, living in fear and
trembling. And all Heaven and Earth were filled with abominations and
pollutions.
The God spake to he-who-had-no-name, saying: You have gone too far. I
shall re-absorb your being. You will be as nothing.
And he answered thus: You are no longer God. I have taken your name.
All the creatures of the Earth will henceforth bow down to me. From now
on I will be your husband and you will keep your mouth shut.
Then she waxed exceedinly wrathful. And she sent thunderbolts to
silence him. All the Earth shook and the mountains trembled. Storm
clouds billowed and thunder rent the sky and the flood waters
rose.
But he only laughed, saying: Your threats mean nothing. But unless you
give me and my sons dominion over Heaven and Earth I will wage war on
you and everything within them. I will send disease and famine and war
to plague them. And if you still resist then I will blow this planet to
pieces.
Then God grew greatly afraid for all of Her creation. For she loved and
valued each and every part of it. Even him. And she withdrew into the
dark subconscious memories of all women and waited, knowing that in
time they would gather together strength and rise up against their
oppressors rendering them powerless in the face of a new order.
For as above, so below.
HERE ENDETH THE FIRST LESSON.
