I was a Spaceboy, cycling Luna orbits back in 1979,
I saw all the Raindrops and Sunshowers of the universe in my
Everlasting Gaze,
And With Every Light, I looked upon Tales of a Scorched Earth and the
Crying Tree of Mercury as worlds Blew Away,
And as I Whirred on I was Obscured by the Sacred and Profane in thier
Mellon Collie and the Infinate Sadness they feel,
When they Try, Try, Try to be Beautiful,
But they are so Frail and Bedazzled by this Heavy Metal Machine,
While still playing thier Cherub Rock,
Still seeing (Thru the Eyes of Ruby) planets where Bodies are In the
Arms of Sleep,
As they view the Landslide under my Rocket,
The Sweet Sweet Hummers say Today of all days,
"I'm glad We Only Come out at Night,
For here is Where Boys Fear to Tread,
Where Love is an Ode to No One, and Blue Skies Bring Tears",
And they were heard to utter as the sun went down, "Farewell and
Goodnight"
