She smiles at us with missing teeth
And waves with broken arms
And although half her face is gone
She shows no great alarm
We take her out on Sundays
Or when bad weather lingers
Or when we get bored, she gets whored
To entertain our fingers
Each time, we will try our best
To put her back together
We twist and turn and break her up
Convinced she can be better
But sadly we are careless
For while she's masquerading
We always seem to lose a piece
And gradually she's fading.
