Regards to You, In

I write this in regards to you, you see.
To show you just how much you mean to me.
I miss you more than my words can say,
And I miss you more on any one given day.
I know I've never really told you so,
Probably really never told you so you'd know.
But you've always been there for me,
Even at the times when I was just to blind to see.
I must've been more than you bargained for,
I realize now how your heart must have tore.
So many heartaches I must have given you,
But through out it all, your love for me remained true.
I've realized this more and more through the years,
And I am truly sorry for any pain and tears.
Your blood may not have been a part of me,
But your heart has always been there for my soul to see.
You are my Dad; it's taken me so long to say.
I need you to know I love you each and every day.
Even though I don't always stay in contact,
There's not a day I don't think of you and that's a fact.
I think of you when I need a hug,
Pull out your picture just to look at your mug.
Your unconditional love that helped me with living,
The love you chose so freely to keep giving.
I love you more than my words can say,
And I love more on any one given day.
For I write this in regards to you, you see.
To remind you of just how much you mean to me.
