They came in their thousands an invading army, hungry and relentless, they swarmed over the whole site, they hustled and bustled and jostled and wrestled, they hunted alone and in packs, satiating their revenous hunger on whatever they chanced upon.
I got the same feeling again as I surveyed the thronging mass of moving, buzzing, pulsating little bodies, they were as unstoppable as a tidal wave and they were going to disappear as quickly as they arrived leaving an incredible mountain of detritus behind them.
Pausing for a second I thanked my lucky stars that I would not have to deal with the mess the swarm had made.
The hive mentality of the swarm made me shudder, the overpowering sense that they were all there with the same single minded focus.
They are legion, yet they seem as one to me, one multi dimensional creature that existed with the sole aim of getting as much as possible and then ferrying it back to their nests.
They make me shudder, it's the same dread feeling I get every time.
Oh well.... at least The Ideal Home show only happens once a year, I thought to myself.
