Mosquito Bites

Mosquito bites,
Like the obstacles in life:
I scratch around them,
When to scratch them
Would be ultimately more satisfying.

They tingle,
Like the problem never addressed:
To diguise them
With Savlon
Would be ultimately futile.

They itch at night,
Like what you should have said:
But picking at them now,
And leaving blood on the bedsheet,
Would be ultimately fruitless.

Mosquito bites,
Like the obstacles in life:
To let them run their course,
And have them turn to scars
Makes me ultimately gutless.
