Euphoria

Rush my throat with air fresh from the lips of outside
and let it whirl into my chest and lace itself around every corner
before hastening past and out through my groin
escaping as swiftly as though it had never arrived.
I will await another
and I will grasp hold of the means should I lapse and shiver;
in the cold for too long.
So lie me down and hush me in my sleep
Soundly let me glide towards the river of dreams waiting
The peace encloses me and I cannot breathe and I cannot breathe
And you cannot stop me now sliding into rapture
Beyond the water, shining in the light of your eyes.
