As watery reflections
surface
on Northumberland’s Strait
day’s end is
an embrace of cumulous clouds
awaiting sun’s dance
into edge-of-sky brilliance.
Passengers mingle in crowded
voices, cameras alive.
Snapshots are memories
but footsteps pause along
the deck, a
simple wish, a
hurried farewell kiss.
