Lucy couldn't even believe it. Why was he there? She only called her mom to tell her she was coming, and didn't think she would send anyone.
Her last encounter with Trevor wasn't the best, as she remembered. He had found out that she liked her, yet way back in high school at a football game she was walking back to the stands from getting hot chocolate, and she saw him practically attacking her best friends mouth.
"Well, if it isn't Lucy Spencer." He removed his shades away from his eyes, setting them up on his head. He smiled over at her.
"Yup, all grown up," She let out a short laugh as she secured the strap on her bag to her arm, walking over to him, "What are you doing here?"
Trevor looked over at her, "Your mom called me. Seems I was the last resort to pick you up, lucky you, huh?" He said as he looked at her up and down, setting the shades back onto the bridge of his nose.
"Yeah, so lucky." She sighed as he opened the passenger side door for her to his black Ford. It was a man's car, she could tell. As she got in and fastened her seatbelt, she felt the gray leather on the seats, and the shiny marble type dashboard.
"Nice car, huh?"
"Yeah, it's pretty sweet." She smiled a bit and looked out of the window. No one had ever doubted Trevor, he was always one hundred percent heterosexual.
Trevor let out a deep, rough laugh, "Are you okay?" He said as he got into the truck, starting it up and turning the radio down a little bit.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just, it's been a rough day, nothing like your best friend taking your guy." She smiled knowingly and continued to look out of the window. Erick hadn't tried to call her yet. She thought he saw the room was empty and just invited Leah up to the room with her.
"About that football game..." Trevor started to say as he turned out of the airport parking lot, keeping his eyes on the road.
Lucy looked over at him and then looked back, out of her passenger window, keeping her eyes glued to a cloud in the sky.
"I know you saw your friend and I behind the stands, and if she hadn't said that you had that boyfriend, it wouldn't have happened." He sighed as he turned another corner, heading to the gas station, "I know it really didn't matter, but she was your best friend and it probably still hurt."
Trevor got out of the truck as he headed into the gas station, he came out and started to pump gas into the truck. When he was finished he put the cap back on, starting the car again, heading of to Lucy's place.
After a few moments of silence, Lucy laughed, "I never had a boyfriend back then." She thought of her friend back then and Leah now, oh how they were so similar in always stealing her men.
"You didn't?" He swallowed, looking shocked. He pulled up into Lucy's drive way. She opened up the door, retrieved her bag and looked at him.
"Nope." She said softly as she shut his truck door. She walked up and started to knock on the front door of her mother's place. This'll be interesting.
