My friend Frank and I met and went to the shops
He brought breakfast and dieting things!
plus salad and spaghetti rings
He had a walking stick that folded
into 3 one gold and one silver see
after latte coffee and a quick chat
I often walk him along the road and put him
on his bus
I said to Frank "stop making a fuss"
but Iv'e lost my walking stick
we call by a shop closed
see someone sweeping up but call through
the closed door
laughing! as we had before
Then Frank remembered as we are getting on
it's "Sainsburys" next door
we go in and speak to one of the staff
who suddenly disappears
then comes back out with golden walking stick
There by the side of the counter were these
beautiful flowers I mentioned
of White and deep purple and pale pink
Oh!
what beautiful colours to make one think
with green leaves of beauty around us
so buys them for me!
But as we go along the road I am so proud
showing them off!
A young girl sitting at a table outside a pub
with ring let hair I said I love hair style
jumps up from her chair!
a weeny bit tipsy!
"what beautiful flowers "she says
are you husband and wife!
No! of course not I cry!
You are entirely wrong and says
out loud "he fancies you What!
I am a friend of our groups and many years gone!
he loves to sing Frank Sinatra songs.
and the girl's love a laid back voice
their knees and soft spoken voice go all silky
Oh! dear now, gone into hospital a friend of many
years I am choked!
can't shed the tears.
Some of us to-gether,only
Couple days ago!
