Would you?

If you could only see
the scarecrow of my soul,
Would you scale
the hedges of my heart
and navigate the fields of time?
Would you scatter the seeds
of self -doubt to the seven winds
and mask our fall
behind a cloud of uncertainty?
For as the dust settles, my love,
on our future...
You need to know;
Would you?
Hear it , feel it , see it , taste it...
on your lips.
I am here for you...
Now... Not forever
and you...Alone.

Hi Firebird, I love this
Hi Firebird, I love this poem. I particularly like the "scarecrow of my soul", it gives rise in my mind to two totally different intepretations:
1. The person in the piece has a soul that is tattered, standing alone in a field, waiting for their reluctant lover to come to them.
2. Perhaps the scarecrow is doing its job, and keeping him away.
I shall ponder upon it.

- those first few lines are just brilliant, Firebird. The whole poem flows so well and is full of brilliant images ;)

Fantastic imagery, strong
Fantastic imagery, strong opening, agree with Magic.
However, feel it loses 'punch' towards the end...
