Adult Education

The writing is on the wall
But I can’t seem to read it.
The writing is on the wall
Perhaps I am dyslexic.
The writing on the wall
But I refuse to believe it.

My “friends” delight in reading
The words out for my education.
Until I cannot deny the truth.
The writing on the wall.

I want to take a rubber
And erase out every line;
But you carved them on my heart
And I will bear their trace a long, long time.
