Long lost thoughts

I need to write to keep
this room from being silent.
I'll fill the air with thoughts of you,
Paint your face on all my walls,
The depths of your eyes a rock-riddled pool I'll
dive into. It won't hurt.
Thoughts neat and pre-packaged for you.
Eyes-searching, heart beating blind, for you
were it's direction.
You had another. You jumped and
danced for her. All was stone.
I feel it still, that hard ache.
But soon, and harder yet,
a forgetting.
