Rove House- prologue

Kimberley was shaking like a small child getting off a Roller coaster, if it wasn't so cold she would be sweating like mad, but as it was her forehead was only slightly damp. The ropes tying her to the chair were irritating her skin and she could see her wrists starting to go red.
Then he came through the door he walked toward her, his head was held high and an evil smile crossed his face. The room was cold and it was full of cobwebs and dust, and the only light was the windows letting in the early morning sun into the room. He walked over to Kimberley and brushed his fingers against her cheek, Kimberley whimpered against his touch. She really wanted to scream for help but the gag he had put on her was stopping Kimberley from making any noise. He drew a small knife from his back pocket and he put it in front of her eyes. He looked into her eyes as he spoke. “I tried to warn you” he whispered. He walked to the back of the chair and placed his ice cold hand around Kimberley's neck. She could also feel his sharp knife resting gentle against her skin. She was trembling even worse now. He laughed, the sound echoed around the house. A sound that would give even the hardest of men goosebumps.
