The Qxzvcztian That Fell To Earth

Late one afternoon a spaceship hovered over Karori Park. Green lights blinked from the sides of the saucer-shaped anomaly, while the upper half glowed with an orange hue.

A small hatchway under the ship slid open. Slime oozed out and fell onto the park, splattering in all directions.

Spectators retreated as more and more slime slipped from the hatchway, until nearly every square inch of grass was covered in interstellar goo.

Finally the bombardment ceased leaving an errie silence in its wake. No one really knew what to do.

Suddenly a fretful scream filled the air and the crowd gasped at the sight a bulky alien falling out of the open shaft.

A few people ran onto the park in hope of catching the luckless ET but quickly became ensnared in the slime.

The ground heaved on impact.

“Qxzvcztian Males!” grouched the injured alien shaking its tentacles at the ship “They're all the same. I’ve told that stupid Captain time and again- leave the bloody seat down when you’re finished!”
