I found a picture from our last holiday together.
A small picture.
In a round metallic frame.
There is a landscape.
The landscape lies within the circle
And it is like a peephole to those sun filled days.
The landscape is bare and brown
And it is littered infrequently with small white buildings.
The small white buildings
Shine in the sun like your eyes did.
The sea slices the landscape in half,
One for you, one for me.
Cut only by the purest blue.
The frame itself reflects my dull eyes
And the hard straight edges upon which this memory stands reflect me even more.
As the blue sets in,
You float away on that calm and shining sea
And all that is left is me.
Lost
Waiting to be found.

I like this Sam - particularly the way the words reflect the change in mood towards the end
