So Sing

On a pure and perfect day,
When the sun does gloriously shine,
And the waves lap gently
Upon these gleaming shores.
This is the sort of day
When all the world is right
And I just want to sing!
There's a song in every heart
For a day such as this,
Fresh and calm, just a breeze
Rustling through trees and leaves.
Whispering, oh, will you hear
The words we sing?
Don't turn your deaf ears to us,
Don't madly bolt your doors!
For a day such as this
Is for living to the full,
And to dance in, and to sing!
