Cloud
You cannot rain on my day
Sending us running for cover
Making the charcoal go out
You can sit there looking grey
And menacing but-
You cannot dissolve!
I forbid it
Besides you’ve not sent
The bowling angels
And Zeus’ mighty flashes
So you can’t be serious
Just sit up there and scowl down on us
Make us take notice if you like
But do not dampen our day
No drips or leaks or deluges
No mist or sleet
Or any other form of precipitation
Not one tiny drop, do you hear me?
Don’t you know
No one likes a party pooper?
