Note: Our writing camp teacher asked us to write an introspective piece (poem because she liked them and it was poem week) about what our snack food was and I discovered that mine was chips.
Poem - My "Chippy" Poem - Written June 15, 2011
It's 2 hours before dinner
but my show is on;
whatever shall I have
to snack on?
Popcorn is good
but not for me,
I want something
that I deem yummy.
Raid the refrigerator;
nothing is there!
I need a snack quick
but where, oh where?
To the cabinets!
No snacks I see.
The clock is ticking;
I've got places to be!
Seconds until my show starts
I spot the bag of chips.
Ah hah! I've found it!
Now I grab the dip.
I race to my room,
sit on my bed,
flip on the TV,
and stuff chips in my head.
Chips are great for relaxing,
for drama scenes on my shows,
it keeps me occupied no matter what heppens,
no matter how my show goes.
