“Oh Goddess I pray you as the mother of the universe and as the supreme strength and energy in all beings,
Many, many salutations at your feet, please accept my humble offerings.”
Thus is Indians’ prayer to mother Durga the symbol of woman power,
The God is neither a male nor a female not even a neutral in gender,
But His illusory power is a female as per Hindu scripture.
In India they worship her in many forms as Saraswati and Laxmi as Goddess of wisdom and wealth,
Mother kali as the Goddess of time and change along with many revered Goddesses symbolizing His power and mirages, we Indians worship all of them with faith.
As at home we take help of mother to dispense wirh father’s wrath and to win his pleasure,
In the same way, we in India worship Goddess for winning Almighty’s grace and favor.
All great epics of India speaks of Women power at length epitomizing some for love and attributing some for war,
A woman serves as a mother, a sister, a companion and a partner for one’s survival, at any stage of life, and hence she can never be kept away and far.
In olden times man was engaged in his trade for earning the livelihood,
The woman looked after household chores including health wealth and wisdom with love without semblance of any falsehood.
In all walks of life in India they are equalm even excel the man beyond their age old assigned duty,
Today India has Prativa patil as president, Sonia as monarch of the ruling party.
Three states are ruled by women power with unchallenged authority,
In science, medicine and other walks of life many women have made their marks as seen from mother Teresa’s nobility.
Recent history of India speaks of glorious deeds of many Indian women on the scene and off the scene,
Like Mirabel, Jhansi Rani, Kasturiba Gandhi and indira Gandhi for them web net may be seen.
Many laws have been framed and social rules are practiced,
to protect their softness, sweetness and divinity.
