Pain Like No Other

Pickles and farts
hit me with darts
winged by the bloody feathers of love.
Pierce through the chest
rip it to shreds
and that is when love is at its best.
I've known no other pain
so excruciating and so long to endure.
And they all say it's worth it
for the bubbles you feel
patching up your tattered soul.
I can't vouch for that fact
because I'm stuck in the middle.
Needles are left from many a war
dangling off my body.
And there's no one there
to lend me a spare
because they are all too caught up in their own bliss.
So I sit in the corner
with hands desperately clutching chest
fruitlessly trying to preserve the blood
from draining me pale
and even harder to stop the tears
who hold captive my smiles
from rolling down my cheeks
into oblivion.
