She makes me long summer long evenings of gold.
Where the silver willow takes a moonlit glide
O’ sees the unicorn on that drifting cloud infold
O’ heavenly heart—angel of my garden, I spied.
O’ gypsy woman I’ve no chains wrapped around my soul
But O’ I prayed I’d be imprisoned in your amber blood
Just to snake into your arms, never to be paroled…
On joyous summer evenings, when your love is torpid!
O’ benevolent rainbow my heart is a Ferris wheel
Following her into a diamond sky, O’ was she to go…
O’ helium trapeze-heart let my heart cartwheel…
Burst into flames, listening to angelic flutes like Plato!
