The repetitions give a good impression of the increasing insanity of the narrator in this poem. Are these lyrics for a song? I really like the rythm you give, it's quite chaotic; the only thing that put me off was your spelling of liquor.. Is this done on purpose? If so, it's an interesting turn on this poem. Good job! A.

Thanks Alexis yeah I wrote it as a song late last night whilst I was listening to some 1970s rock tracks by a group on youtube called Foghat-Foghat 1972 album I use to write songs by the hundred whenever I couldn't write poems. :)check out track 2"

Like the above poster, I also really like the structure. It reminds me of a traditional drinking song (Show me the way to go home) only turned on its head to show the dark realities of alcohol abuse. It also kind of reminds me of a march; there's something strident about the rhythm as if its an unstoppable march downhill into alcoholism and insanity. Also like the randomness of the lines which really give the impression of disordered thinking. Don't truly understand every line of it but really liked - Thunder in the airways—can’t you see Life under a toadstool, how can it be? My life’s boxed under the stairs With you!
