I am a very shy person

If I appear its because I feel strongly enough
about something to speak of it
not because I want to be seen

If life had an invisibility feature
i'd happily use it everywhere
just to say my piece
but never be known for it

It would be worth the world to me
to know how everything I say
will be taken
but since I can never be sure
I think i'll just stay silent

It's safer

More comfortable

But i'm always watching

So for those who insult me
and take advantage of my silence
and don't respond
or speak badly of me

I may not acknowledge your acts
but I see them
I feel them
They hurt me
and one day
they'll come back to you
