Flute & Man
P K Routray
“Hey flute! How nice is your melody!
It captivates every one, man or animal whosoever it may be.”
“I had austerity and penance,
from birth to maturity tolerating many a vengeance.
born out of a bamboo baked in fire,
knots removed from inside making hollow the length entire,
and holes were screwed on me to give the wisdom
I took all this in my stride to mesmerize even the snakes with venom.
Hey man! Why do not you get rid of your knots of lust greed anger attachment and vanity?
Bake yourself with hard work, dedication and sincerity,
screw in you the love purity and other divine virtues,
for you all these are my advice to muse.”
Life is like a flute,
it has many holes and emptiness to its melodious service, they do suit.
If you work on life similar to a flute,
it can play magic melodies of much astute.
