Lunchtime in the cafeteria

I live in salt water.
It erodes my skin cells,
Peels backwards through my muscles.
While drifting eyes in the slipstream watch
It grinds downwards through my bones
Which fall away
So that I can't gesture madly
That they are all, every one of them, depleting too.

I like the degradation, the
I like the degradation, the dissolving of everything. I think that it's a strong piece of writing indeed greenelephants. I would love to see this poem extended to another stanza, just to underscore the cracking imagery on show. Thanks for sharing a wonderful poem.
