God does not listen soon,
a complaint we lodge often.
We tell God is cruel,
He takes needlessly many a trial.
Let us compare Him with us,
before blaming that He does not easily bless.
If we find a man lying motionless on a road,
you may not pay any attention, thinking he is dead or drunkard.
Also if a man is motionless,
and is lying like a carcass,
on your way to work,
generally you ignore to mark.
But if you find the man trying to get up,
your kindness to help certainly wakes up.
Similar may be the ways of the Almighty,
If you do not try yourself, his blessings will be scanty.
If you toil and try your level best,
He will be there to row you through even without your request.
“God helps those who help themselves” thus goes the saying,
Strive hard yourself for your goal with faith in Him without swaying.
