Poets’ dilemma
P K Routray
Categories of poems at ABC Site are thirty
covering humor, horror and spiritual to fantasy.
Only in one the poet has to fit his poem
as per his thematic thought or discretionary freedom.
Based on reader’s interpretations the reader may differ
challenging and deviating from the original author.
In modern poems with unintelligible gist and abstract metaphor
and with use of words of myriad connotations the confusions are still greater.
Some poems may have clarity in having option,
they can be included in more than one section.
But in some, logic and counter logic challenge any specific categorization,
it can be categorized as per individual introspection and past impression.
Humor can also find its place in the section of crime for the reader
“Being the cause of starvation with bigger crime and pushing one to commit crime and then blaming them”, is not it a satiric humor?
Humor can be in prayer and in any one or more than one section,
Is not a spiritual prayer meant to keep the god in good humor and to draw His attention?
It is proposed for a debate and for readers’ valued opinion
why should be a reader and a poet bound in one cell of a prison.
