Pray how and why do we?
An answer we hardly search to see.
For a gain in wealth, health and prosperity,
to mitigate misery or to excel over other remain as our prayer’s priority.
At times we pray because of our religion and society,
or being afraid of a bad omen because of displeasure of some Almighty.
Speaking truth we are only ten percent theist.
and in own self and number we are ninety percent atheist
To the happenings, can a prayer change in our favor?
Ninety percent will have no or least faith in prayer, it is sure.
Can you question the result?
Replies to these questions are very difficult.
Answer to our prayer, we accept philosophically
after all whatever happens to us, is for our good only.
Time, energy and money why should we spend?
Is it only for temporary recreation, illusory gain, while cheating the self at the end?
Some say our prayers do not abide scriptural instruction.
Hence the effect of prayers on this life and after is uncertain.
As to directions on how and why of a prayer,
all scriptures have deliberated upon at length to share.
but over the years for our ease and comfort,
we manipulated the steps and hence our effort.
All scriptures have basically of one stipulation,
for materialistic gain the prayer should not be taken as an option.
Further all five external senses as eyes, nose, ears, tongue and skin,
adding to them are mind intellect and ego from within
should be engaged in prayer without waver
each serving the divine deeds without blemish forever.
We the mundane and mortal man
such strenuous practices we never can,
hence without asking how and questioning why,
let us continue our prayers as such till to this life we bid good bye.
