Dark Horses

Dark horse walks into the room
where there's no room to swing a cat
Needs must when the devil drives,
I put down that glass
and placed a bet
a skeptical dicer with eyes half closed
Between the devil, and the deep blue sea,
well what would you rather after all.
Dark horse comes out of the crowd,
blueish eyes like a bolt from the blue
Dark Horse cuts to the chase
with those off beat,
hard metallic hooves
but, The dark horse is a sad creature,
put your hand on it's main,
gently, run your fingers through,
What races have you run, tell me
to look so sullen, after a victory.
The dark horse is a sad creature
It's eyes are woebegone,
see I told you they were blue.
and as they blink they promise
a paradise for the fools.
a fool like a dicer with eyes half closed.
