Secret

He suffers solitarily
Forlorn and fatigued
Aged and worn
Never futile
Ever clandestine
Fearful
He is fearful of time
Imminent and swift
Destiny doubtless
His sun is setting
And He says
Nothing
He has a secret
He confides in no one
Not The Young Mislaid
She bears secrets
Of her own
Nor The Elder Carer
Misguided and mystified
No secret holds she
Candid she breaks His heart
In truthful blindness she vies
Fearful
I am fearful for Him
The Great Protector
Never incapable
Ever obstinate
He is the anti-possum
Feigning life
Conjuring health
But none can deny
His strength is spirit
And He says
Nothing
He possesses no breath
For himself or His secret
His heart is stout
But strong no more
His courage dwells
Unable of being incapable
He desires struggle
And refuses aid
He will remain sovereign
Until The End
On The Dreadful Day
He remains enigmatic
I retain counterfeit hope
Hopeless desperation
Desperate prayer
Fearful
We are all fearful
Until He becomes docile
Never to wake
Ever to dream
And He says
Nothing
Nothing at all
