you must keep your perspective
when you go about a task
to take the whole job in at once
is way too much to ask
.
so slice your daily burdens
into wedges not so thick
forget construction of the wall
just form a single brick
.
our vision is peripheral
but images may blur
we must look straight ahead
or misconceptions may occur
.
in your examinations
don't let things stretch out too far
why fret about the galaxies ?
just focus on a star
.
the earth was here before us
it will be here when we're gone
we've just dropped in for lunch
we missed the breakfast served at dawn
.
when that dinner bell is ringing
we won't be around to hear
the eons take care of themselves
so hold this moment dear

The opposite extrreme of 'can
The opposite extrreme of 'can't see the wood for the trees'?
When I feel overwhelmed by all that needs to be done, I have to think of one little thing to get on with!
I particularyly liked the last line. Rh
