Listen, Hey Man!
P K Routray
An allegoric incident
to reason out the human ailment,
here I beg to bring.
In a multistoried building
a supervisor located on third floor
to communicate with a cleaning worker
cleaning the front of the building ground floor
threw a dollar which fell in front of the worker
picked he up and pocketed it and continued on his job
the supervisor dropped further a ten dollar, him to snub,
without looking up, the man picked up the fallen dollar
dropped then the supervisor a pebble on him out of anger.
Narrowly escaping from being hurt, he looked up.
Seizing the opportunity the supervisor cleared the mix-up.
God blesses man with gifts out of love,
man enjoys them without thanking the Lord above.
Desires the Lord, man to look at Him for His communication
Wants He, to give instruction to avoid mix up in His creation.
The selfish man remains busy
enjoying the gifts with pleasure and glee
forgetting its source
making Him remorse.
Hence perhaps problem and plight
are thrown as pebbles to set man right.
Then helplessly he looks up with folded hands,
gets he the communication and His commands.

I loved this! The structure
I loved this! The structure is brilliant!
You have proven me wrong, you start off with a few fancy words - which I'll look up later , no shame in learning :) - but the rest of the poem delivers its message clearly without having to sound like an English professor , I admire your writing ability :)
