Snow Fairies

There are Snow Fairies, don’t you know,

their wings like those of robins,

who weave each flake of falling snow

with pillows and with bobbins.*

Upon the clouds these fairies live

and, all year long, they play

but when cold winter comes they give

us snow for Christmas day.
