(IP) Suddenly …
By Rhiannonw

Year on year, fun, toil and tear –
but have things always gone on so?
and now for ever, steady flow?
no,
suddenly —
why long the wait?
– a time to think and contemplate
all that he did at his first coming,
get ready for his sure returning,
then,
suddenly —
no more delayed,
his glory seen, the lie
of disbelief leaves some dismayed,
and, in the twinkling of an eye,
the dead taste resurrection,
the living, transformation –
immortal then, before the throne
where all our history is known,
and whether his free gift we own
that clothes in his perfection.
[The trumpet shall sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 1 Corinthians 15:52 and v.51 and 1 Thess.4:16,17; Rev.1:7; Acts:1:11 etc]
