All The World's a Stage ( I.P)

Larry and Olivia stood in the middle of the stage, a single spotlight highlighting their perfect features.
‘Darling Larry why are we here?’ a slight petulance creeping into her voice.
He put a large protective arm around her slight shoulders.
‘Dearest, don’t upset yourself. I am certain that they will be here soon.’
She slumped into the ornate gilt chair and draped herself over its plush upholstery. She gave a sigh full of misery and a teardrop made its slow way down her perfectly made up cheek.
Larry’s lip began to wobble with emotion as he strode to the edge of the light cast by the spotlight, presenting his profile to the auditorium. In a voice full of pathos he addressed the empty space.
‘We are here as summoned, will no one acknowledge our existence?’
‘My love,’ her voice full of sorrow. ‘Come, sit here at my feet. We will wait and see what fortune brings.’
His dark brooding eyes took one last look at the abyss and he turned. Perceiving the vision of loveliness before him he went and did her bidding. He put his head in her lap and she stroked his dark curling hair.
‘Cut!’

Hi Starfish Girl, I hope your ok. Brilliant WordPerfect and executed, like the style, how every word rolled on to another and giving a lot, but not quite everything. good luck with IP.

A tale told
I was hoping for some rage and fury, although yes, it does seem there's not much meaning. The same I'll read more there seems to be something new here, something intruiging ..
