THE NUDIST CAMP

quite long ago, a couple met
with not a shred of etiquette
for when they met, they had no shred of clothes
.
but it was at a colony
that advocated nudity
so that was apropos, i must suppose
.
he bowed to her and said with grace
"excuse me, but i know your face
although your face i didn't notice first"
.
she said "i must admit it, too
when you came angling into view
it seemed that this encounter was rehearsed
.
he said, "i once was royalty
so maybe you remember me
i ruled the land till scandal brought me down"
.
she said. "i was a noble's wife
till my dishonor caused him strife
he ordered me to find another town"
.
"would you reveal your sobriquet ?"
"it was godiva in the day
although these days it only brings me shame"
.
"one time i was the emperor
till my discredit did occur
but for my life, i can't recall my name"
.
along came then, a bug eyed lad
and he remarked, "if i'm not mad
i think i have run up against you both"
.
"i called you out, how most unkind
i ogled you till stricken blind
but as you see my eyes have found regrowth"
.
they looked at him with great disdain
for it was he who caused their pain
and now this little vermin seemed so proud
.
they told him to be on his way
and then continued with their day
for company is two, but three's a crowd
