1.
When I was small, would you believe
I fell in love with falling leaves
of orange, red and yellow hue
and mellow, moonlit Autumn views?
2.
When Golden hearts and stars of red
come tumbling down upon my head
and wind picks them for paper toys,
they leap just like my heart with joy.
Chorus:
And all the colours of the fall
they keep my heart afloat.
Don’t even feel the cold at all
with her bright coloured coat.
When Autumn sets the world aflame,
I feel a glow of glee.
No other season feels the same
as Autumn time to me.
3.
When colours splash and scatter floors
as maple, ash and sycamore
leaves, fluttering, float to the ground
weaving leaf patterns all around.
4.
Each falling leaf that looks like fire;
it only lifts my heart up higher
its colours make my spirits fly
like leaves up to the autumn sky
Chorus:
And all the colours of the fall
they keep my heart afloat.
Don’t even feel the cold at all
with her bright coloured coat.
When Autumn sets the world aflame
I feel a glow of glee.
No other season feels the same
as Autumn time to me.
