The heart script
Let me turn away from you
While I still can
Find a dance
Share the past moves
Let me murmur in your ear
A manifesto of why we are here
Act as if I know
Why should I let you go?
The return of my mind
Why do I stay?
Let me leave you in another way
Ignore me
The source of our balance
Enlighten the moment
Too much can’t be right
A hieroglyph! A Stop sign!
Beautiful you. Beautiful me.
Be my crutch be
Let me face the space between
You are more than you seem
Meaningless mirrors sight and sigh
Fallow is a find
A place to go
Find light and flee also
Treasure me there
Take me back
Let us drift
Kin of heart
Let no record stand
Let only love remain
This time let us begin again
Widen and despair
Flow away
Honour our grace in that way
Allow our voice to echo
A child’s rhyme of making
The natural speech of the soul
Think in dreams
Let them be
Everyday heaven and choral play
King of the word
Be that child
Be that clown
Straighten out nothing
Gain the resonance of the unknown
Find a home in remembering
The streets along the way
Transcend our time by being
Seeing clarity in the mundane
Expose yourself to danger
Overcome the pain
Live life again.

Hi CM
Hi CM
Quite a contrast from your angry hurt poems of recent times. This one speaks of nostalgia and longing for the good old days. As usual, you make such good use of words - each one perfect for the purpose.

I like how the move towards
I like how the move towards the affirmative grows, a sense of resolve, an imperative.

Bloody hell CM. Had to read
Bloody hell CM. Had to read this many times before I got just a hint of what was going on. Even now I'm not sure. But... love the last dozen lines. Full of hope and wonder.
