Can God bring His Word through such a woman? Yes, He can. Think of Rachab of Jericho, a prostitute; think of Thamar an adulteress and a bigamist; and the adulteress Bathsheba mother of King Solomon. (One could actually include Eve). All three these women were ancestors of Jesus. There are only five women named in the ancestry register of Jesus Christ as in St. Matthew. Just Ruth is virtuous; only Mary is innocent. This then is in accordance with Gospel.
