Are we not thieves?

On thief and theft

questionable is the present concept

accepting the legal judgment

pronouncing the punishment

on the accused if proven as a thief

by the evidences and lawyers’ brief.

Because of many loop holes in the social system,

with falsehood and greed growing awesome

innocents are punished and looked down upon

criminals are made scot-free with dignity to live on.

Imperfect is human power to judge

as with limited vision beyond a limit it cannot gauge.

The decree of our conscience reveals a real thief in its judgment

“Thieves are human beings snatching more than their quota of allotment

from the treasure given by the creator to share with others to exist together

but man greedily manipulates to own it all hoping to enjoy it forever.”

We milk cow and pluck fruits from a tree

we drink water, breathe air, are all they free?

Man does not pay for the value of the things on the earth he enjoys

out of greed he hoards  and in the process much more he also destroys.

Petty thieves with questionable judgment are put behind bar for years

with daylight crime against conscience we live with dignity and without fears.

Unless we repay for the service we get from others by our service and sacrifice

we are the thieves of highest order and no punishment if ever given by Him will suffice.
