The Miraculous Dr Homunculus

All across space, they seemed to appear, a gigantic fleet of black, batshaped space fighters.
And then, through every crackling radio, TV set and computer in the world people heard the terrifying voice of the strange fleets commander.
"Surrender, people of Earth. You cannot defeat the Batmen of Draculon. First we will drain all that your puny planet possesses then we shall harvest your people for their vital red fluid", he said.
Suddenly, however, the Bat commander saw something shoot up from the surface of the blue and green planet and, swerving aerobatically round, it came racing towards him.
"Whats this?", said the Bat creature looking at the approaching blip on his radar screen, "A missile? Pah! Don't you realise that your puny Earth weapons are useless against us".
But it was not a missile, for as it got closer, through his spaceships dome shaped windshield, the bat commander thought he could make out a face and a body and suddenly he realised that it was a human man that was flying towards him as fast a rocket.
"Har-har!", laughed the alien commander, "One puny earthman? Is that all that your planet has to fight against us?".
Then, speaking to the other ships in his fleet, the Bat commander ordered,
"Fire your fang missiles, my Bat men. Obliterate this impudent earthling"
All at once a volley of a thousand missiles flew from every ship in the alien fleet but then, much to the Bat commanders surprise, the strange human rocket simply batted away every missile that came towards him as if it were nothing more than an annoying mosquito, and as he did the missiles were sent hurtling back towards the batfighters that had fired them, the ships exploding into silent clouds of fire and spacedust as the missiles struck.
"Amazing", said the Bat commander, "I have never seen a being so powerful before".
"Then you have never met Dr Homunculous", said the man who the Bat commander now saw was wearing nothing but a skin tight, red outfit with the insignia DH emblazoned upon its chest.
"Nevertheless", said the commander, "You have yet to taste the true power of my Bat armada".
Then yelling to his battle fleet again, the commander ordered.
"Batmen on the right, fire your freeze cannons; Batmen on the left, burn him with your astroblasters. Show him the power of the mighty Draculon nation".
Then from his left, the superhero saw beams of ice blue coloured light shoot out of the cannons on the wings of the batfighters while from his right he saw the same only the beams were blazing red.
But then, his eyes widening; awestruck, the Bat commander saw the strange superhuman stretch out his arms on either side and, with only his upturned palms, deflect both the freezing beams of ice blue and the burning beams of red.
"Impossible", said the commander, "How can any being be that powerful?".
But then the superhero smiled,
"Now it is my turn", he said, "And if you really are Batmen then this should do the trick".
Then suddenly from out of the superheroes body, as if he were made of glass, the Bat Commander saw a burst of blinding white light as bright as a star.
"My eyes! My eyes!", screamed the commander shielding his large bat like eyes behind a furry clawed hand, "I'm blinded".
Then just as quickly as they had first appeared, suddenly, the hero saw the fleet of Bat ships dissappearing; vanishing like burst bubbles as they teleported back to their own dark planet.
"Flee, my Batmen", cried the Commander, "We are outpowered by this amazing human".
Behind the eyes of the superhero a tiny, blue skinned alien pilot sat and looked out at the vanishing fleet.
"Thank you, Dr Homunculus", said the voice of the president of the United States of Earth speaking through an intercom on the tiny pilots control panel, "You and your manship have saved the Earth from yet another alien invasion".
"After the hospitality your people have shown me", said the tiny blue alien turning the manship around and heading back towards the Earth at the speed of light, "It is the least I can do".
Just then, however, the tiny alien scientist felt something; some kind of force tugging upon his spacecraft and then, rotating the head of his manship 180 degrees he saw, behind him, what looked like a large, whirling and glowing tornado appear, then he felt the pull upon his manship grow stronger.
"A starstorm!", exclaimed the startled doctor, "And its pulling me into its vortex, only one option".
Without wasting any more time thinking; the alien broke the glass that covered the emmergency teleport button on his control panel with his power ring and pushed down; his index finger breaking down into a fizz of glowing particles as he did so.
But then, in less than a blink from one of his blue alien eyelids, Dr Homunculous was sitting safely within his doll house sized headquarters somewhere upon the Earth and watching, with a sigh of relief, on his video monitor, his abandoned manship being sucked completely into the greedy dark maw of the whirling spacestorm.
"Dr Homunculous. Come in Dr Homunculous", said the voice of Earths President again, speaking with a worried tone, through an intercom, "We saw your ship sucked into the heart of that starnado. Are you alright Doctor?".
"Yes. I'm alright", said the Alien, "Sadly, my Manship was destroyed. I will have to replicate a new one but don't worry, Mr President. As long as I have the power, the Earth shall always be safe".
