Everyone Stop

We'll lock ourselves inside my room for days,
Turn off our phone, smoke some purple haze.
We'll watch old movies, act out certain scenes,
Where I'm the king, and you can be the queen.
Or Romeo and maybe Juliet,
We'll drink some poison, stab ourselves to death.
We'll stay inside and starve ourselves to death.
But change our minds before the end is nigh.
We'll find our books and take them from the shelf
And cut them up and tear out their insides.
And we'll turn it all into confetti
and thow it on a parade of our lives.
We'll sing our favourite songs like Sugar Kane.
But mix it up and change what they all say.
We'll take some drugs and try to chase a dream.
But give it up and find out what we mean,
When we both say we really are in love,
It isn't just a crazy type of sleep.
I'll take a knife and write into my chest,
Whatever you would have liked me to have said.
I'll watch you write some words into your skin,
Like, “God is dead,” or “nevermind the scene”.
Or “no one should leave intact in the world,
Anything that you are afraid of.”
I'll be Jules, you be my Catherine.
We'll fall in love, and drown ourselves in sin.
We'll fuck all day and rip out your left eye.
My Betty Blue, I'll suffocate you too.
I don't want to see you ever again,
My fingers remember every inch of you.
To the untrained eye it may seem that I
Am wishing you would be forever mine.
But I'm really just a very jealous guy
And my jealousy is burning up tonight.
Because it's true I don't really love you.
Just wish you'd want to be forever mine.

great scene a new broad and I
great scene a new broad and I know what you mean. Write shit on your chest. Beating hearts. Well, that's how it starts.

Some assorted feelings going
Some assorted feelings going on in this poem. It feels like a longing for someone, but the risk is too great to take the plunge.
A great poem to read aloud.
Jenny.
