Booked for the life of this show:
an imaginary box, ungilded,
free of Victorian fol-de-rols.
We snuggle, picnic, drop crumbs,
giggle, shoes off toe-waggle,
whisper and mime, comfortable
in each others breathspace and time.
Scan silver skulled gaggle below
watch the stage, watch them
watching us, watching for the cue;
I'm watching you.
Know as the conductor turns a page,
we are outside and yet within this score;
liet motif in its overture,
and so it begins, again.

'comfortable
'comfortable
in each others breathspace and time.' Loved the intimacy of this line.

Hello there, Lena. Always
Hello there, Lena. Always brightens my day when you pop up out of nowhere it seems
Love the idea of the 'Leimotif'. Fantastic imagery for the way life is...turning and turning, then going right back on itself again, and again...like the tide.
Hope things are fine with you this sunny Sunday afternoon.
