and his tan
Work against modesty, propriety, satiety
Acquiesence is the enemy
So befriend those frenemies who, though from across the divide,
Don't want to see this man with his pride
Elide the poor and incomplete
With his vision of the elite to walk this street
and that with but one wish: to hurt, to conquer and destroy
To grab this or that girl or boy
And make this once fine vision of a melting pot
That's got what it takes to take the breaks
and rise on a Dream to cinder and to die
Don't let our dream die
Don't let our dream die
