snakes have a dry skin
how cold to the touch
we recoil when seeing
a creature as such
we shake cause we're sickened
we shake cause we're scared
while their bodies are shaking
like steel traps, prepared
snakes have a dry skin
unpleasant to clutch
they have no emotions
they don't think too much
.
a snake has a forked tongue
how can we believe
the songs that they whisper
the stories they weave
their tales will seduce you
their tales you will like
while their own tails are bobbing
with fangs set to strike
a snake has a forked tongue
all set to deceive
the charm of this heathen
is all you perceive
.
a snake has no eyelids
how can we control
the depths of our fears
as we face the black hole
these fears will confuse you
these fears are so vast
while their own fears are choking
from dining too fast
a snake has no eyelids
and likewise no soul
so there are no regrets
while they swallow you whole
