She liked her field. She knew where everything was, what to expect and it had a beautiful little hedge that bordered it. She occasionally would hear noises and rustling over the hedge, but she was fearful of things being different.
One day , while eating a particularly delicious buttercup she heard a strange whiney from over the hedge. Curiosity got the better of her and she put her heard over the hedge. There she bumped noses with another horse.
“Your coat is a lovely grey.” Said the surprised stranger.
“Why thank you.” She replied, admiring the strangers white and black spots. “What are those on your head?”
“Oh these? They’re horns. What is that on your neck?”
“This is my mane.” She gently rocked her neck to show it off.
They both stared at each other for a bit. Realising they were very different horses but that the differences made them interesting. They’d be the best of friends.
