She's In Love

I've not heard her play in here for a while
She'd always be at the sessions and bring a smile
To the old men at the table
She'd sing soft as a dove
But now her stool sits empty
For she's in love
She had a way of making a sad song lift your heart
And the words she sang of parting made you feel
You'd never part
She'd fill the room with heaven she would draw down from above
But now her stool sits empty
For she's in love
Some man her heart is lifting
While ours is pulled down with pain
Though the loss we feel, we know is someone else's gain
And they say he is a fine man, I pray he has enough
Of her and breaks her heart again
Though she's in love
For with another broken heart
She'll play the better still
And sing of such sweet sorrow
Love, the bitter pill
Her sadness will bring joy
To those sat in the room
With dying of the Autumn light
A flicker in the gloom
Though they say he is a good man
I pray he has enough of her and breaks her heart again
For they say that's she's in love
Her stool sits empty
For they say that she's in love.
